| On Saturday
May 1st, Taifun 17E with callsign D-KKGG, flown by Manfred Garben and
Urs Gerigk, has departed from Oehna (EDBO, near Berlin/Germany) for a
two weeks flight that will hopefully bring them to Fez in Morocco (northern
Africa). On Saturday May 8th, Taifuns 17EII en 17E with callsigns D-KFDI and D-KGAN, flown by Henk Dumont / Henk Schoenmakers and Hans-Peter Gottlob with Gunter Hartleb have departed from their homebases (Geilenkirchen NATO airbase near Aachen/Germany and Mönchsheide near Koblenz/Germany) for a two weeks flight to Haifa/Israel. Below you will find a daily updated map with real positions of both journeys and you will find a link to a larger daily updated flightstatus with background info that (when communications run smoothly) is also being updated on a daily basis. All stories are written in English first but we will strive to have a German translation a.s.a.p. thanks to the efforts of Mr. Werner Reinhofer. |
