Autumnal atmosphere by Niklaus Wächter (D-KRRK, Switzerland,
oct. 2008)
"It lasted until 14 hrs. MET, until the fog in central Switzerland
had diminuished in such a way that we could depart for a picture
flight from Lake
Zürich. Under these kind of circumstances only two sorts
of pictures are possible: either single objects or pictures showing
special atmospheres. The second one demonstrates how fog turns into
mist, while up higher the first cirrus clouds anounce the coming
of the next change of weather. In three days there will be snow
as low as 500 meters. Considering these circumstances, this one
will probably be the last autumnal picture 2008 for central Switzerland,
where the famous Pilatus
in the middle of the image shows itself as a landmark for the city
of Lucerne
and as a signpost for the pilot."

Herbststimmung
von Niklaus Wächter (D-KRRK, Schweiz, okt 2008),
"Es dauerte bis um 14 Uhr Winterzeit, bis sich die Nebel in der
Zentralschweiz soweit gelichtet hatten, dass wir für einen Fotoflug
an den Zürichsee
starten konnten. Bei diesem Wetter konnte man nur zwei Arten von Aufnahmen
machen: Einzelobjekte – und Stimmungsbilder. Das
zweite zeigt uns, wie der Nebel zum Dunst wird, während in der
Höhe die ersten Cirren bereits den nächsten Wetterumschwung
ankündigen. In drei Tagen soll es bis auf 500 Meter schneien.
Damit ist das hier wohl das letzte Herbstbild 2008 aus der Zentralschweiz,
wo der berühmte Pilatus
in der Bildmitte Wahrzeichen für die Stadt Luzern
und Wegweiser für die Flieger ist."
